Tigers pitchers combined to strike out 12 on Tuesday night, but starter Matt Boyd lasted only four innings in a 6-3 loss at Pittsburgh. Mikie Mahtook had two of the Tigers five hits in the game, while Jim Adduci and Miguel Cabrera each picked up an RBI. Detroit has lost four in a row and return home on Wednesday night to face Pittsburgh again, this time at Comerica Park.
