A seventeen year old Port Huron High School student is in custody for making threats against his own school. On Monday, Port Huron High School’s Resource Officer, Laura Phillips, was made aware of the threats by staff members. A 17 year old male from Smiths Creek, a senior at P.H.H.S., was interviewed and arrested. Port Huron Police say the threats targeted several students regarding an ongoing dispute. He is housed at the St. Clair County Jail and will face charges of reporting a threat of terrorism, a twenty year felony. The Port Huron Police say they take threats of school violence very seriously and thank those who brought this information forward.
