Work is slated to begin Monday on a bridge in China Township. The St. Clair County Road Commission says construction will begin on a new St. Clair Highway Bridge over the Belle River. St. Clair Highway over the Belle River is currently closed to traffic. The project is being funded in part by the State of Michigan, St. Clair County, and China Township. The posted detour includes Wadhams Road, Fred Moore Highway, and Palms Road. The St. Clair County Road Commission says work is expected to wrap up in September of this year.
