AAA of Michigan says a record number of Michiganders will be taking to the roads for the Memorial Day holiday. The auto club says 1.3 million people will be traveling next week, with the busiest days being Thursday May 24th and and Friday May 25th, as commuters mix with holiday travelers. It’s the 6th consecutive year of growth for holiday travel and the second highest travel volume on record since 2005. AAA also says gas prices are expected to be above the three dollar mark, making it the most expensive Memorial Day road trip in recent memory.
