Beyoncé and Jay-Z Drop Surprise Album

Queen Bey is continues to own the throne for surprise music.

The couple has been touring for their “On the Run II” tour which is scheduled to be in North America starting in July. Their joint touring immediately began rumors of the power couple creating more music together. Saturday, they showed the world what they have been up to.

It began with an Instagram post of a clip from the first video associated with the project for a song called, “Ape S**t.” It was shot The Louvre in Paris back in May.

In typical, Beyoncé fashion, none of the posts were captioned. The Bey-hive knew exactly what this video meant. Her next post was the album cover for the project, titled, Everything is Love. Definitely sounds like a change in pace compared to their recent separate works. Beyoncé’s Lemonade was all about betrayal, jealousy and empowerment. In Jay-Z’s last album 4:44, he admits to cheating on his wife. Will this album reflect change and rebuilding from the rubble?

Jay-Z spoke with The New York Times about the therapy of music and it’s role in their marriage. “We were using our art almost like a therapy session and we started making music together,” said Jay-Z explaining how working together helped them heal.

In fact, this new album wasn’t just a collaborate effort from Bey and Jay-Z, but from the whole family.

Their first born, Blue Ivy, has her voice featured on the tail end of one of the songs. Blue is now 6 years old. At the end of, “Boss” which is the third track on Everything is Love, Ivy sends love to her younger siblings, Rumi and Sir.

Her message for the twins was, “Shout out to Rumi and Sir, love Blue.”

The album was originally dropped on Jay-Z’s streaming channel, “Tidal,” but is now available everywhere.
