Woman found in Black River identified

The name of the woman who was found dead in the Black River Friday has been released by police. 43 year old Lynn Ann Preston was found face down in the river around 9am Friday morning near the Harbor Master’s office. Police say Preston had a history of mental health issues and that there are no current signs of foul play. An Autopsy has been conducted and the results are pending.

Port Huron Police are investigating the death of a woman who was found in the Black River this morning. Police responded to a witness report of a body floating in the Black River near the Harbormaster’s Office around 9am Friday morning. Police, Fire, and EMS responded to the scene where the individual was pronounced dead. The body is believed to be that of a 43 year old Port Huron resident who had a history of mental issues. Her name will be released once all of her family members have been notified. Port Huron Police tell WPHM there are no current signs of foul play.
