A spokesman for the governor’s office says neither side involved in the road work stoppage “accepted our numerous offers to help find a resolution.” In a release Thursday, Ari Adler says the governor is looking to possibly activate the National Guard to use their heavy equipment operators toward the road work. Claiming the lockout will put drivers’ safety at risk this winter. Adler says Governor Snyder has also contacted the National Labor Relations Board to ask it to accelerate the review of unfair labor practice charges.
