DTE Energy is inviting the community to learn more about their new natural gas power plant that will begin taking shape next year in East China Township. An open house will be held by the utility this afternoon where you are invited to learn more about the plant. DTE’s Vice President for Plant Operations, Matt Paul, says the billion dollar Blue Water Energy Center will result in cleaner and more reliable power for the community for years to come. Once the Blue Water Energy Center comes on line, the Coal Fired St. Clair Power Plant will be decommissioned. Today’s open house will take place at Marine City High School from 4 to 8pm.
