The Detroit Red Wings won their sixth straight game on Tuesday, beating the Florida Panthers 5-4. Luke Glendening scored two goals and Stephen Weiss added a goal and two assists for the Wings. Detroit moved into first place, one point ahead of Tampa Bay, who they play in Tampa on Thursday.
The Cleveland Cavaliers got huge performances from Kyrie Irving and LeBron James to beat the Pistons 103-95 on Tuesday night at the Palace. Irving finished with 38 points and James with 32. DJ Augustin led the Pistons with 19, while Greg Monroe scored 17, and Anthony Tolliver 16. The Pistons play at Philadelphia on Wednesday.
