The Detroit Red Wings four game winning streak came to an end on Wednesday, when the Wings blew a 3-1 lead at home and lost 6-3 to the Philadelphia Flyers. Tomas Tatar scored twice for the Red Wings and Johan Franzen added the other goal. Detroit is at New Jersey on Friday night.
No. 1 Michigan State lost for the first time this season on Wednesday night, falling 79-65 at home to North Carolina. Garry Harris had 17 and Andreian Payne 16 for MSU which is now (7-1) on the year. Michigan State will face Oakland a week from Saturday.
