Michigan State beat Michigan 76-66 in the first overtime game between the two teams in 22 years.  The Spartans outscored the Wolverines 10-0 in the OT, after Michigan erased a five point deficit in the final minute of regulation.  Denzel Valentine had 25 points and Brandon Dawson added 19 for MSU, who will host Illinois on Saturday.  Spike Albrecht and Muhammad Ali Abdur-Rahkman
DJ Augustine and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope both poured in 28 as the Detroit Pistons beat the Houston Rockets 114-101 on Saturday to end a four game losing streak.  Greg Monroe chipped in 19 points for the Pistons, who play Miami on Tuesday at the Palace.
The Detroit Red Wings knocked off the New York Islanders on Saturday afternoon 4-1 at Joe Louis Arena.  Brendan Smith, Gustav Nyquist, Jonathan Ericsson, and Tomas Tatar scored goals for the Wings.  Detroit is off until Thursday, when they play the Avalanche in Denver.
