A Clinton Township woman hooked a piranha-like fish in Lake St. Clair last week.52-year-old Holley Luft says she was fishing at Waterfront Park in Harrison Township with her husband Wednesday when she reeled in the 14-inch fish. Luft says the specimen had teeth that made it looked like a piranha. DNR experts identified the fish as a South American pacu - cousin to the fierce piranha. But unlike the piranha, pacu's do not have sharp teeth. Officials suspects the fish was someone's pet that had gotten to large for the aquarium.
