Board of Education members in the Port Huron Area School District last night held an Organizational meeting in which officers were re-elected for a new term. Jeff Stout remains the board's president. Items brought before the board included the need to fill a couple of important positions in the next school year. Superintendent Ron Wollen says they will have to fill the principal position at Thomas Edison and the long held band director position at Port Huron High where Dan Griffith will in next school year be heading to L’Anse Creuse North. In other business the student code book was revised a bit to now allow cell phone use by students IF teachers in individual classrooms approve. The change reflects the availability of expanded instructional capabilities with today's cellular devices
