    Academy Award-winning actor Philip Seymour Hoffman was found dead in his New York City apartment yesterday at the age of 46. Hoffman, who won the Best Actor Oscar for 2005's "Capote," the biopic of author Truman Capote, died of an apparent drug overdose, according to sources, which reports that he was found in the bathroom of his Greenwich Village apartment with a needle stuck in his arm. Despite the needle and Hoffman's long history of drug abuse struggles, there is no official cause of death as of yet.

      A teenager who attempted to steal Kim Kardashian's identity and illegally transfer thousands of dollars from her bank account has been sentenced to three-and-a-half years behind bars. Luis Flores, Jr. gained access to the reality star's personal details, including her credit card and social security numbers, and then attempted to change the primary social security number on several accounts to his own. The amount he stole from Kardashian's account remains unknown, but the thief also targeted her mother, Kris Jenner, and was allegedly able to steal $71,000 from her.

      Demi Lovato's rep has brushed off rumours suggesting the pop star is engaged to her on/off boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama. Shewas said to have reunited with the former That '70s Show star in September, and she sparked speculation he had recently proposed after sharing a photo of herself sporting a gold band on her ring finger online. However, a spokesperson for Lovato has denied the marriage gossip, saying that the new jewellery is "not an engagement ring". The couple was previously reported to have dated for several months in 2011, but the stars have never confirmed their romance

      Kanye West won't be facing criminal charges after getting into an altercation with an 18-year-old man who yelled racial slurs at his fiancee Kim Kardashian last month. The rapper reached a $285,000 civil settlement with the man, who had no significant documented injuries, and the L.A. District Attorney's Office rejected a battery case against the singer as a result. On Jan. 13, the Kanyewas entering a Beverly Hills chiropractic office, and the teen yelled racial slurs at photographers who were hounding her.
