Entertainment News For Thursday!

The Jackson family has lost its bid to find AEG Live liable in Michael Jackson's death. After a five-month trial, the jury ruled that AEG did indeed hire Dr. Conrad Murray, but also that he was NOT unfit or incompetent to treat the star. That means the Jacksons get no payday.  Katherine Jackson and Michael's three children sued AEG, claiming the concert promoter's negligence in hiring and supervising Dr. Murray was a factor in Michael's death. AEG contended that Michael hired Murray. Jackson died just days before his comeback tour was set to debut in London in the summer of 2009.
Justin Bieber dodged a couple of legal bullets Wednesday. The L.A. County District Attorney rejected two cases against the singer -- the one in which he allegedly spit on his neighbor, and another in which he was allegedly speeding through his Calabasas neighborhood. As for the spitting incident, D.A. investigators decided the Bieb's actions were "disproportionate and immature, but since the neighbor had entered the property without invitation Bieber's actions did not rise to the level of a criminal threat."

Amanda Bynes finally has a diagnosis. According to sources, she has both schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. The formal diagnosis was made while she was still being treated at UCLA Medical Center, which she recently left for a rehab center in Malibu.  A source says, "It was difficult to process for her parents." Still, it's believed that Amanda can lead a normal life as long as she takes medication. Doctors at the treatment facility are said to be "still working to get her therapeutic meds and she’s responding to medication she is being given to treat her diagnosis."

Turns out, Farrah Abraham didn't do it for money -- well, at least, not that much money. The Teen Mom star reportedly sold her porno movie earlier this year to Vivid Entertainment for nearly $1 million, but now a source says she actually gave it up for only about $10,000. Kevin Blatt, a professional X-rated tape broker, says former Pippi Longstocking star Tami Erin  received the same amount as Farrah. He says it's the going rate for sex tapes. Still, don't cry for Farrah. TMZ reported in July that her sex tape with porn star James Deen made close to $120,000 in royalties in just one month.
