Entertainment News For Thursday!

Justin Bieber has been charged with assault in his native Canada for allegedly hitting a limousine driver. Either Justin or a member of his entourage hit the limo driver on the back of the head several times, causing him to stop and call police. A police rep says, "The driver stopped the limousine, exited the vehicle and called police. The man who struck him left the scene before police arrived." Three witnesses who were interviewed by police claim that it was Bieber who carried out the assault. The Bieb turned himself in to Toronto police Wednesday night and was charged with one count of assault and released on a promise to appear in court on March 10.

Prince has decided not to sue the 22 individuals who allegedly illegally posted footage of the singer's concerts online. Prince filed lawsuits against nearly two dozen people (suing each for $1 million) earlier this month because they uploaded videos on websites such as Facebook without his consent. According to TMZ.com, the singer has since changed his mind and filed documents in California to dismiss the lawsuit. However, he has the ability to refile the lawsuit in the future.

Drake Bell has called upon his 2.9 million Twitter followers to sign a petition to deport Justin Bieber back to Canada. Bell, who hasn't hidden his disdain for Bieber on the social website, has told his fans to visit the Whitehouse.gov website and add their name to a petition asking the United States government to deport the pop star and revoke his green card. Bell told his followers to "become part of the movement" and "SIGN YOUR NAME HERE!!" The petition has since passed the 100,000 signature threshold that requires the White House to write an official response.

Kanye West reportedly reached a settlement with an 18-year-old who West attacked earlier this month after the teen made snide remarks to the rapper's fiancee Kim Kardashian. According to sources, the alleged victim has agreed to a civil settlement of over $250,000 despite initially calling for a much larger six-figure sum. The teen no longer wants to pursue a criminal prosecution. The District Attorney in Los Angeles hasn't decided whether to charge West, 36, with battery. Due to the settlement, it is now very unlikely the singer will be prosecuted.
