Falcons Name Head Coach

The Port Huron Fighting Falcons have finally named a new head coach and it is Steve Shannon, the man hired just days after the season ended to take over as the teams new General Manager.  Shannon, who briefly coached the UHL's Motor City Mechanics, will handle both the GM and coaching duties while Jeff Blum has been named to the staff as the Director of Player Developement and College Recruiting Liaison.  The team has also announced Scott Nichols will remain on as Goalie Coach.  Nichols is the only returning coach from Bill Warren's staff.  Warren, the NAHL Coach of the Year after leading the Falcons to a North Division title and a berth in the Robertson Cup, stepped down only days after the season concluded.
