LAKESIDE PARK PLANS BEING ADDRESSED

Improvements will be coming to Lakeside Park in Port Huron, but just what those will be remains to be seen.  The last couple months have seen public input sessions held to gauge residents opinions and gather ideas, with City Manager Bruce Brown saying a master plan will be put together to request funding from state or federal grants. Brown says the earliest that any changes would be coming would be sometime next year.  He says sponsors may also be sought for the improvements.  Officials with the city's Parks and Recreation Department have stated that some ideas from the public  include more handicapped accessibility or new restroom facilities.
