LAW OFFICE FIRE INVESTIGATED...BUILDING RAZED

A local law office that caught fire Monday night last week with the winds that blew in with Hurricane Sandy, resulted in a total loss of the building.  The offices of local attorney Gary Fletcher at 522 Michigan saw damages beyond repair and the structure was in the process of being  torn down late last week.  That is when Port Huron and Marysville Fire Chief Tom Konik returned to the scene to make sure the problem was indeed electrical.  Winds knocked down a power line onto the roof of the building and once the fire started those same winds help fan it across the attic.   Fletcher is now looking for a new permanent home for his law offices and has relocated in an office at the former Fogcutter building.
