LIBRARY SYSTEM MOVES TOWARDS NEW TECHNOLOGY

The St. Clair County Library System is busy as we begin a New Year.  Library Director Alison Arnold says a plan will start being made for long range library uses. A steering committee begins later this month on future changes and improvements to the system. Arnold says as technology keeps changing, so does the library system, with new downloadable books and magazines on the way.  She says converting magazines to downloadable materials also helps with precious shelf space for some of their smaller facilities.  Also, this year will see the library system asking voters to support a millage renewal.
