The Detroit Pistons led 62-53 at the half, but were held to just 31 second half points, and lost 102-93 to the Cleveland Cavaliers on Tuesday night.  Reggie Jackson had 22 and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope added 21.  The Pistons host New York at the Palace on Friday.
The Detroit Red Wings got a point in Anaheim, but blew a 2-0 lead in the third period and lost 4-3 in shootout to the Ducks.  Pavel Datsyuk had two goals and Riley Sheahan had the other for Detroit.  The Wings play in Los Angeles on Tuesday night in the fourth game of a six game road trip.
Michigan State ran its winning streak to four in a row with a 60-53 win at Illinois on Sunday night.  Denzel Valentine scored 20 and Travis Trice added 18 in the victory.  Michigan State is back home on Thursday to face Minnesota.
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope scored 26 as the Detroit Pistons won their second in a row, beating the Washington Wizards 106-89 at the Palace on Sunday.  Andre Drummond added 18, Reggie Jackson 17, and Greg Monroe 15 for Detroit.  The Pistons finish a three game home stand on Tuesday against Cleveland.
Michigan snapped a five game losing streak, shocking No. 24 Ohio State on Sunday 64-57 in Ann Arbor.  Spike Albrecht had 16 and Zak Irvin added 15 to lead the Wolverines.  Michigan is at Maryland next Saturday.
In a wild game the Detroit Red Wings came back twice in the third period from two goals down, to beat the Dallas Stars 7-6 in overtime.  Pavel Datsyuk scored twice, including the game tying goal with the goalie out for an extra attacker, and added two assists for the Wings.  Jakub Kindl also had two goals for Detroit, while Niklas Kronwall (OT winner), Justin Abdelkader, and Gustav
Playing short handed the Detroit Pistons took down the Chicago Bulls 100-91 on Friday night at the Palace.  Caron Butler and Greg Monroe each scored 20 points, while Andre Drummond added 18 with 20 rebounds.  In his first career start in the NBA,  Spencer Dinwiddie scored 12 and dished out nine assists.  Detroit will host Washington on Sunday afternoon.
The Detroit Pistons made two trade deadline deals on Thursday.  Detroit acquired guard Reggie Jackson from Oklahoma City for DJ Augustin, Kyle Singler, and two future second round draft picks, one of which will go to the Utah Jazz.  In a second deal the Pistons sent Jonas Jerebko and Gigi Datome to Boston, bringing back former star Tayshaun Prince.  Neither Jackson or Prince will
For only the third time in eleven tries this season, the Red Wings won a shootout and beat the Chicago Blackhawks 3-2 in Chicago on Wednesday night.  Darren Helm had a goal and an assist in regulation, and Tomas Tatar scored in regulation and shootout to lead Detroit.  The Wings continue a six game road trip in Dallas on Saturday.
Michigan State won its third straight game and handed rival Michigan its fifth straight loss on Tuesday night.  The Spartans beat the Wolverines in Ann Arbor 80-67.  Brandon Dawson scored 23 and Travis Trice added 22 to lead MSU.  The Spartans play at Illinois on Sunday.  Michigan, who host Ohio State on Sunday, was led by Zak Irvin with 16 points, and Spike Albrecht,
