Two motorists were sent to an area hospital after a two vehicle Wednesday in Worth Township. According to the Sanilac County Sheriff's Department, a vehicle driving south on Wildcat Road lost control on the snow covered road, striking a northbound pickup truck. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts and alcohol does not appear to be a factor.

The Detroit Red Wings came back from 2-0 and 3-2 deficits on Thursday night, to beat the Winnipeg Jets 4-3 in Manitoba.  Tomas Tatar had two goals, including the game winner, while Justin Abdelkader picked up a goal and an assist.  Johan Franzen also scored for the Wings, who wrap up a three game road trip on Saturday night with a game in Toronto.
No. 24 Michigan avoided a scare from Detroit on Thursday night with a 71-62 win.  Michigan trailed at the half 28-27 and the game was tied at 52-52 with 5:33 to play, but the Wolverines went on a 16-1 run to pull away and seal their third straight victory.  Caris LeVert had 21 points, while Zak Irvin scored 18 and Derrick Walton 16 for Michigan.  The Titans were led by Juwon Howard
A late rally by the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday night fell a little short in an 88-86 loss to the Phoenix Suns.  Brandon Jennings scored 19 points and Greg Monroe added 18 for the Pistons, who have lost three in a row.  Detroit plays at Atlanta on Friday.

No. 4 Duke defeated No. 19 Michigan State 81-71 in the Champions Classic on Tuesday night.  The Spartans are (1-1) on the season, while Duke improved to (3-0).  Branden Dawson had 18 points, Travis Trice 15, and Denzel Valentine added 13 for State.
Zak Irvin scored 24 points and Michigan ripped Bucknell 77-53 on Monday night in Ann Arbor.  Max Bielfeldt had a career best 18 points and Derrick Walton chipped in with 15 for the Wolverines.
The Detroit Pistons got out scored 29-17 in the 4th quarter on Monday night and lost 107-93 to the Orlando Magic at the Palace.  Caron Butler led Detroit with 20 points, while Brandon Jennings added 18.
Riley Sheahan had a goal, but the Detroit Red Wings lost at home 4-1 on Sunday night to the first place Montreal Canadiens.  PK Subban scored the winning goal on a shot that bounced in off a Wings player.  Detroit plays at Columbus on Tuesday.
The Arizona Cardinals scored two early touchdowns on Sunday and then held off the Detroit Lions 14-6.  The loss ends a four game win streak for Detroit.  Matt Prater kicked two field goals for the Lions, who play at New England next week.
The Detroit Pistons let another close game get away in the final quarter and lost in Memphis on Saturday 95-88 to the Grizzlies.  Kyle Singler scored 21 points for the Pistons, who host Orlando on Monday night.
