The Boston Red Sox got 20 hits, led by David Ortiz, who hqd four, including two home runs and seven RBI, on their way to an 11-1 win over the Tigers on Sunday night.  Detroit had three hits, and scored its lone run on a solo home run from Nick Castellanos.  The Tigers head to Tampa Bay to play on Monday, now two game under 500 for the season.
Yoenis Cespedes and Nick Castellanos hit home runs as the Tigers beat the Boston Red Sox 5-1 in Boston on Saturday.  Castellanos drove in three runs, while Alfredo Simon pitched six solid innings allowing just one run.  The final game of a three game series is Sunday night at Fenway.
The Tigers wasted an 8 inning one run effort from Justin Verlander and lost in eleven innings 2-1 at Boston.  Xander Bogaerts had the game winning hit for Boston, while Ian Kinsler had three hits and an RBI for the Tigers.  Game two of a three game series is Saturday.

Nick Castellanos hit a grand slam to high light an eight run third inning for the Tigers, who beat the Seattle Mariners 9-4 on Wednesday night at Comerica Park.  Ian Kinsler added four hits and an RBI for the Tigers, who wrap up a four game series with the Mariners on Thursday afternoon at Comerica Park.
Franklin Gutierrez hit a grand slam in the 8th inning to put Seattle ahead to stay, as the Mariners out slugged the Tigers 11-9 on Tuesday night at Comerica Park.  Yoenis Cespedes, JD Martinez, and Nick Castellanos all hit home runs for the Tigers in the game.  Game three of a four game series is scheduled for Wednesday night in Detroit.
Ian Kinsler hit two home runs, including a two-run shot in the 8th inning to lead the Detroit Tigers to a 5-4 come from behind win over the Seattle Mariners on Monday night.  James McCann added two hits and knocked in two runs in the win.  Game two of a four game series is set for Tuesday night at Comerica Park.
The 91st Belle's Beer Bayview Mackinac Race is over.  The first boat to finish was Arete in 23 hours, 23 minutes, and 51 seconds.  The last boat to finish was Ark-Imedes in 56 hours, 56 minutes, and 8 seconds.  The boat owned by James Howard of Port Huron and a member of the Bark Shanty Sail Club in Port Sanilac will go down as the Pickel Boat.  The overall race winner
