Port Huron Police are still investigating an early Saturday morning shooting that killed a Port Huron 40-year-old woman. They are treating the case as accidental. St. Clair County Sheriff Tim Donellon testified in front of a legislative committee last week in support of a bill that attempts to clamp down on so-called drugged driving. Gas prices decreased, AAA Michigan reports. Michigan’s current statewide average is $3.49 per gallon, down about 12 cents from last week and about 6 cents less than this same time last year. Metro Detroit gas prices also decreased. The current average there is $3.52 per gallon, about 7 cents less than last week and about 5 cents less than this same time last year.

Two Port Huron men have been arraigned following a Monday night car chase. Port Huron Police say a vehicle chase, Thursday nigh, has landed a 28-year-old man in jail. The incident began about 10:00 p.m., as patrol cars were told to be on the lookout for a pickup truck traveling along Military Street.
