Michigan State has reached the finals of the Orlando Classic and will face Kansas at 1 PM on Sunday in Florida.  The Spartans beat Marquette in the semi-finals on Friday night 79-68.  Denzel Valentine had a career high 25 points, while Travis Trice added 19 for MSU.
The Detroit Pistons losing streak has reached seven games, after a 104-88 loss to Milwaukee at the Palace on Friday night.  Andre Drummond scored 26 points and pulled down 20 rebounds in a losing effort.  Kentavious Caldwell-Pope added 21 points for the Pistons, who host Golden State on Sunday.
Down 4-1 in the second period, the Detroit Red Wings rallied for a 5-4 shootout win in New Jersey on Friday night.  Justin Abdelkader, Riley Sheahan, Xavier Ouellet, and Drew Miller had goals for the Wings, who have won three in a row.  Detroit is home on Sunday to face Vancouver.

Michigan State rolled to a 77-45 win over Rider ob Thanksgiving in the Orlando Classic in Florida.  State will play either Georgia Tech or Marquette on Friday.  The Spartans were led by Denzel Valentine, who had a career best 19 points.  Bryn Forbes added 15.
The Detroit Lions bounced back with a 34-17 win on Thanksgiving Day over the Chicago Bears.  Matthew Stafford threw for 390 yards and two touchdowns,  both to Calvin Johnson, who had 146 yards and 11 catches.  Joique Bell added 91 yards rushing and also had a pair of touchdowns.  Detroit is home to Tampa Bay a week from Sunday.
Pavel Datsyuk returned to the line up and scored two goals as the Detroit Red Wings beat the Philadelphia Flyers 5-2 on Wednesday night.  Stephen Weiss had a goal and an assist, while Tomas Jurco and Henrik Zetterberg each had a goal.  The Red Wings have won two in a row and play in New Jersey on Friday.
Make it six losses in a row for the Detroit Pistons, who fell 104-98 to the L.A. Clippers at the Palace on Wednesday night.  It was another 4th quarter collapse for the Pistons, who led by 73-72 after three.  DJ Augustin scored 19, while Josh Smith, Andre Drummond, and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope all added 17 points.  The Pistons host Milwaukee on Friday.
No. 12 Villanova squeaked by No. 19 Michigan on Tuesday night 60-55 in the finals of the Legends Classic in Brooklyn, New York.  Caris LeVert had 16 points for Michigan, who lost for the first time this season.  The Wolverines face Nicholls State on Saturday.
The Detroit Pistons have lost five in a row after a 98-86 loss in Milwaukee on Tuesday night.  Andre Drummond scored 23 points and Greg Monroe added 15 for the Pistons, who host the Los Angeles Clippers at the Palace on Wednesday.
