The Ottawa Senators edged the Detroit Red Wings in shootout 2-1 on Tuesday.  Gus Nyquist scored the lone goal for the Wings, who are two points ahead of Boston in the battle for third place, with the Bruins coming to Joe Louis Arena on Thursday.
The Detroit Pistons won for the six time in eight games on Tuesday, beating the Atlanta Hawks 105-95 at the Palace.  Andre Drummond scored 22, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope 18, and John Lucas 15 for the Pistons.  Detroit is on the road at Charlotte on Wednesday.
Dwayne Wade scored 40 as the Miami Heat beat the Detroit Pistons 109-102 on Sunday, snapping the Pistons four game winning streak.  Andre Drummond scored 32 and Reggie Jackson scored 31 for Detroit.  The Pistons are home to face Atlanta on Tuesday.
The Detroit Red Wings lost 5-4 to the New York Islanders on Sunday in Long Island.  Pavel Datsyuk and Tomas Tatar each had a goal and an assist for the Wings, who return home Tuesday for a big game against Ottawa at Joe Louis Arena.
The Spartans needed overtime to get past Louisville 76-70 on Sunday, but are now onto the Final 4 of the NCAA Tournament.  Travis Trice had 17, Denzel Valentine 15, and Bryn Forbes 14 to lead Michigan State.  The Spartans will play either Duke or Gonzaga next Saturday for a chance to go to the National Championship game.
Petr Mrazek made 23 saves for his 2nd shutout of the season, as the Detroit Red Wings beat the Tampa Bay Lightning 4-0 on Saturday at Joe Louis Arena.  Joakim Andersson, Justin Abdelkader, Gus Nyquist, and Luke Glendening scored goals.  The Wings play the Islanders in New York on Sunday.
Michigan State beat Oklahoma 62-58 to advance to the Elite 8 in the NCAA Tournament on Friday night.  Travis Trice had 24 and Denzel Valentine had 18 to pace the Spartans, who will face Louisville on Sunday.
Reggie Jackson had a triple-double with 26 points, 11 rebounds, and ten assists, to lead the Detroit Pistons to a 111-97 win at Orlando on Friday.  It was the Pistons fourth win in a row.  Tayshaun Prince added 23 points, and Andre Drummond had 16.  Detroit plays at Miami on Sunday.
Patrick Marleau scored twice in the third period to lead the San Jose Sharks to a 6-4 win over the Red Wings at Joe Louis Arena on Thursday.  Tomas Jurco, Tomas Tatar, Stephen Weiss, and Henrik Zetterberg got credit for the Detroit goals.  The Red Wings host Tampa Bay on Saturday.
