Former Port Huron Fighting Falcons goalie Pete Megariotis has signed a commitment with Ohio State University and hopes to be in the mix for the 2012-13 season with the Buckeyes. Megariotis is the Falcons all time leader in games played (47), minutes played (2589), and wins (22) by a goalie. He is second all time in goals against average (2.62) and shutouts (2) behind Max Milosek. Megariotis joined the Falcons after Christmas during the 2010-11 season and was the winning goalie in three of the teams six victories that season, posting the first shutout in franchise history. He completed that season with a (3-9-1) record and (2.84) goals against. Last season Megariotis went (19-8-1) and posted a (2.52) goals against and participated in the NAHL Top Prospects Tournament.
