NUKE WASTE DUMP GETTING MORE QUESTIONS

More opposition showing up state-side on a two-year-old Canadian public plan to bury low and intermediate nuclear waste not far from the shores of Lake Huron. As a final decision approaches by the Ontario Government on the plans local lawmakers have come out saying it is a dangerous idea.  They worry about a breach of radioactivity that could lead to contamination of the Great Lakes.  Engineers designing the facility doubt such an event could happen. State Senator Phil Pavlov has offered up a variety of investigation requests ranging from calls on the President to have the International Joint Commission look at it to an on line petition seeking your signatures. State Senator Mike Green and State Representatives Paul Muxlow and Dan Lauwers also spoke at the press conference this morning which was held at Freighter's near the Thomas Edison Parkway.  Pavlov says the legislation will be introduced in Lansing on Tuesday and throughout this week.
