PAVLOV SEEKS ANOTHER STATE SENATE TERM

Speaking with families and job providers Friday at Stoutenburg Farms in Sandusky, state Senator Phil Pavlov formally announced his candidacy to represent the residents of Michigan’s new 25th State Senate District in Lansing.  “Families, job makers and taxpayers tell me constantly that they want Lansing to focus on our economy and putting Michigan back to work,” said Pavlov.  “That’s the common sense agenda I have been proud to fight for at the state Capitol over the last four years, and the work I am asking voters to send me back to continue in the state Senate.
“The Thumb has always been my home and I see firsthand, each and every day, the importance of putting local families first.  Over the last four years we’ve taken some incredible steps to kick-start our economy.  We’ve balanced the state’s budget, cut taxes, expanded personal freedoms, strengthened agriculture, and eliminated over 1,500 government rules and regulations, but our work is far from finished.” A St. Clair Township native, Senator Pavlov graduated from St. Clair High School, and studied business administration at St. Clair Community College before joining the family transportation business. He is a former Saint Clair County Commissioner and served as a State Representative as well. For fourteen years, Pavlov owned and operated his family’s successful small business, Dexter Equipment Company, which specialized in medium to heavy duty truck sales and heavy equipment repair. The new 25th Senate District includes Huron and Sanilac counties along with Saint Clair County and portions of northern Macomb County.  It looses Lapeer County.
