PROTEST CLOSES BRIDGE TRAFFIC FOR ABOUT AN HOUR



 
 
No major problems reported Saturday during the noon hour with a protest which shut down traffic for an hour on the Canadian side of the Blue Water Bridge.  The Idle No More campaign by native North Americans is against Canadian federal legislation which many First Nations officials fear would allow more access for development of reserves.   This was one of many protests by the group which had earlier this month included a blockade of a portion of a rail line in Sarnia.
