All roads will lead to the Blue Water Area Convention Center...or at least visitors should be able to find the facility, thanks to improvements either already made or on the way. Port Huron City Manager Bruce Brown says the Michigan Department of Transportation and the city's Department of Public Works will be making the development easy to get to. He notes the new freeway has an exit that will intersect 10th Street and Harker. He says Harker is up for reconstruction next year. The street lines up with the front door of the hotel. Brown says a concern for the convention center was that visitors would get lost in trying to find the facility, and that ease of access is important to its success. He says the Hilton group liked what they saw in terms of road improvements so much that they upgraded their hotel to Double Tree status, which shows their confidence in the project.
