SASHING KICKS OFF CELTICFEST

It was a sea of green yesterday at Lynch's Irish Tavern in downtown Port Huron as the annual CelticFest kicked off, with events leading up to the St. Patrick's Day Parade.  Grand Marshal for the parade George "Sandy" Duffy was officially sashed, with him saying the celebration of all things Irish can be fun for all, even if you're not Irish.  Duffy helped start the St. Clair County Irish-American Club in 1997.  The parade starts at noon Saturday March 16 at Pine Grove Park and heads south through the downtown district.  For more information on all the events go online to www.theirishamericanclub.org.
