SEPTEMBER STATS SHOW CONTINUED WATER LEVEL DROP

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers projects Lake Huron to fall below historic low water levels within a few months.  Their latest statistics for the Lake show levels some 26-inches below normal.  September figures also show Lake Saint Clair off by 13-inches.  Levels were last this low in the mid-1960’s.  Part of the reason is the lack of normal precipitation with the Lake Superior basin having received only 46% of average precipitation during the month of September.
