SHERIFF'S OFFICE OFFERS SELF DEFENSE CLASS FOR WOMEN
The St. Clair County Sheriff's Office is again offering the R.A.D. (Rape Aggression Defense) self-defense course for women, with the aim of empowering women and providing them with the skills to reduce risks. Sheriff Tim Donnellon says the class provides women with a defense strategy should they find themselves in a situation where they have no alternative but to defend themselves. It'll show you how to avoid those situations, how to get out of a potentially difficult situation, and then, if need be, how to defend yourself. The Rape Aggression Defense Systems course is offered to all women ages 12 and up. The cost is $25 and the class will be held Saturday March 16th from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Call the Sheriff's Office at 987-1700 for more information.
