The 72nd District Court has announced Susan M. Borovich will be replacing Nicole Winston as an Attorney-Magistrate.  Winston will be working full time in a law firm.  Borovich is retiring as the St. Clair County Friend of the Court and will be working this new position in a part-time basis.  Retirees are permitted to be re-employed by the county provided they do not work more than 1,000 hours per year.  In addition to conducting arraignments and setting bonds, magistrates also may issue arrest and search warrants, and perform weddings.
