No. 18 Michigan State opened the college football season with a 28-7 win over Tulsa on Friday night. The Spartan defense had a touchdown and a safety in the victory. Brian Lewerke passed for 192 yards and a touchdown, and Matt Coghlin kicked four field goals. The Spartans will host Western Michigan next Saturday at 4 PM.
