The United Way of St. Clair County is asking for proposals from non-profit organizations for a training program to benefit low-income women from 30 - 50 years of age. The grants are to train women in the skills needed to successfully gain or enhance employment, such as the preparation of a resume, improving interview skills and presentation and dress skills. The grants are valued up to $7,500, are to be six week long and accommodate at least 20 women. The Letter of Intent should include a brief program description and be submitted by September 13th at noon. Access the form at www.uwstclair.org.
