The Detroit Tigers blew a 5-0 lead and a great performance from Max Scherzer, losing on Sunday night in game two of the ALCS 6-5 on a Jarrod Saltalamacchia walk off single. Scherzer had a no hitter with two outs in the sixth, before he allowed a single and a double that cut the Detroit lead to 5-1. He finished with 13 strike outs in seven innings of work. The Sox got a two out grand slam from David Ortiz in the eighth to tie the game and set up the ninth inning heroics. Detroit got a home run and three RBI from Alex Avila, as well as a solo home run from Miguel Cabrera and an RBI double from Victor Martinez to build a 5-0 lead early in the game. The best-of-seven series is tied 1-1 with game three in Detroit on Tuesday afternoon.
