Alex Avila hit a walk off single in the bottom of the 11th to give the Detroit Tigers a come from behind 3-2 win over the Toronto Blue Jays on Thursday afternoon. Detroit swept the three game series with the win. Down 2-0 in the bottom of the eighth the Tigers pushed across two runs to force extra innings. Brennan Boesch had an RBI single and Austin Jackson scored on wild pitch, both with two outs in the inning. Justin Verlander did not get a decission, but pitched nine innings and struck out 12. The Tigers host the Angels on Friday night.
