The Detroit Tigers opened the second half of the season with a 7-2 win in Baltimore on Friday night.  Jhonny Peralta had a big three-run home run, while Miguel Cabrera added a 454-foot solo home run.  Doug Fister shut down Baltimore allowing just one run and three hits over seven innings with eight strike outs.  Game two of a three game series is set for Saturday afternoon.
