The Detroit Tigers lost both games of a double header to the Minnesota Twins on Sunday and missed on two chances to move into first place. The Twins took game one 10-4, beating Max Scherzer with a five run sixth inning explosion. Avisail Garcia had two hits and drove in two runs. In the night cap the Twins edged the Tigers in ten innings 2-1. Jose Valverde took the loss. Miguel Cabrera drove in the lone run for Detroit. Cabrera had two hits and two RBI in the two games. The Tigers remain one game behind Chicago with ten games left in the season. Detroit is home to Kansas City tonight to open a four game series.
