WATER STREET MARINA STILL ON FINANCIAL HOLD

It's been three years in the making... that's the re-development of the Water Street marina.  Port Huron City Manager Bruce Brown says the current plan with developers from Ohio needs a bit more time to work in terms of financing and approvals, but if it doesn't then the city is ready to switch things up and bring in someone new. He says there are two other hotel owners interested in at least looking at the property. In any event he believes it is a strong site for a motel operation given the improvements made to the freeway system and Water Street of late. Brown says the Ohio based developers should have things squared away in the next month or two.
