WINTER WOES CONTINUE

It's mid-February, so prepare for an up and down sort of week with the weather.  Monday's accumulating snowfall will give way to warmer temperatures this week with rain and melting snow, with National Weather Service Forecaster Matt Mostieko telling us to enjoy it when we get above the freezing mark, because it won't last for long. Mostieko says blame the jet stream for once again being in an odd pattern and allowing much colder air to come in from the north.  Thursday's expected high of 40 degrees brings with it rain, with a chance of snow Friday and through the weekend, with Sunday's expected high of just 25 degrees. Several schools were again closed this morning due to overnight snowfall.  While Brown City was on a two hour delay Sandusky, Peck, Deckerville, Marlette, Harbor Beach and Algonac were included in the list that shut down for the day.  Other districts, like Marysville, Capac, and East China were still on mid-winter break.
