A six game winless streak came to crashing hault as the Detroit Red Wings stormed back from a 3-1 deficit to beat the Buffalo Sabres 6-3 on Tuesday night.  Tomas Tatar scored twice, while Henrik Zetterberg, Stephen Weiss, Dan DeKeyser, and Johan Franzen also scored goals.  Gustav Nyquist had three assists.  The Wings play at Ottawa on Saturday.
The four game losing streak is over for Michigan.  The Wolverines blasted Coppin State on Monday night 72-56 in Ann Arbor.  Rickey Doyle had 16 for the Wolverines and Zak Irvin added 13.  Michigan opens Big Ten play next Tuesday against Illinois.
When the Detroit Lions play the Packers for the NFC North Division title on Sunday in Green Bay, they will be without veteran starting center Dominic Raiola.  Raiola was suspended for one game by the NFL for stomping on the ankle of a Chicago Bears player in the Lions 20-14 win last Sunday.
