Salvador Perez hit a home run and knocked in three runs to lead the Kansas City Royals to a 5-1 win over the Tigers on Tuesday night in Detroit.  Nick Castellanos had three hits for the Tigers, who face the Royals again on Wednesday.
The Detroit Tigers have parted company with Dave Dombrowski after almost 14 years with the ball club.  Dombrowski's contract was set to expire at the end of this season.  He has served as the Tigers executive VP of baseball operations and general manager since 2002.  The team has won 1082 games and lost 1123 during his tenure, making the playoffs five times, winning four
Daniel Norris won his Tigers debut on Sunday, beating the Baltimore Orioles 6-1 at Camden Yards.  The lefty, acquired in the David Price trade from Toronto, went 7 1/3 and allowed a run on four hits, striking out five.  JD Martinez hit a three run home run to pace the Detroit attack.  The Tigers face the Kansas City Royals on Tuesday at Comerica Park.
