The Charlotte Hornets blew out the Pistons on Wednesday night 102-78 in Charlotte.  Jodie Meeks had 15 and Andre Drummond added 13 for the Pistons, who play in Chicago on Friday.
The Ottawa Senators edged the Detroit Red Wings in shootout 2-1 on Tuesday.  Gus Nyquist scored the lone goal for the Wings, who are two points ahead of Boston in the battle for third place, with the Bruins coming to Joe Louis Arena on Thursday.
The Detroit Pistons won for the six time in eight games on Tuesday, beating the Atlanta Hawks 105-95 at the Palace.  Andre Drummond scored 22, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope 18, and John Lucas 15 for the Pistons.  Detroit is on the road at Charlotte on Wednesday.
