The Detroit Lions beat the Jacksonville Jaguars 13-12 on Friday night in pre-season action at Ford Field.  Reggie Bush had two carries for 95 yards and scored on an 86 yard run for the Lions, who also got a one yard TD run from George Winn.  Matt Stafford was 10 of 16 for 98 yards and Dan Orlovsky completed nine of eleven passes for 74 yards.  The Lions (2-1) close out the
David Price allowed a first inning unearned run, when Ben Guyer tripled in Ben Zobrist after Zobrist had reached first on an error.  The triple was the only hit allowed by Price, who retired the final 23 hitters he faced, striking out 9.  The Tigers, however, managed just four hits themselves and lost 1-0 to the Rays on Thursday afternoon.  Rays starter Alex Cobb pitched seven
Rick Porcello tossed his third complete game shutout of the season on Wednesday night as the Detroit Tigers blanked the Tampa Bay Rays 6-0 in Tampa.  Porcello held the Rays to three hits and did not walk a batter to win his 14th game of the year.  Victor Martinez hit a grand slam and drove in five runs for the Tigers.  Detroit goes for a sweep in the three game series on Thursday
