ART ON THE RIVER A SUCCESS

The second annual Art on the River returned to the boardwalks of Port Huron's Black River this weekend with art and music aplenty to delight attendees.  The weekend celebration is organized by Blue Water Area group, Citizens for a Vibrant Community.  Event Coordinator, Trina Avedisian says that Art on the River nearly doubled in size in only its second year which saw large crowds visiting over 40 art and food tents and lining the music stage that featured local bands and performers. A new addition to this year's event was the arrival of the Traveling Michigan Vietnam Veterans War Memorial Wall which was led by 50 Freedom and Legion Rider motorcycle escorts during a procession down Huron Avenue.  St. Clair County Veteran of the Year, Paul Churchill was on hand during the blessing and ceremony.
