ARREST MADE IN JAIL CONTRABAND CASE

Sanilac County Sheriff Gary Biniecki says early Sunday  morning Correction Deputies identified a subject on the roof of the Jail. Sheriff’s Office Correction and Uniform Deputies with assistance from the Sandusky Police Department were able to quickly locate the subject and take him into custody. The investigation revealed that the suspect, a 46-year-old Sandusky male accessed the roof in an attempt to smuggle contraband into the jail through a vent on the roof. Security Measures and a rapid
response prevented any breach into the facility. The suspect whose name is being withheld pending arraignment remains in the Sanilac County Jail on multiple charges.
