SC4 PRESIDENT POLLOCK PROVIDED OPENING ADDRESS AT NATIONAL CONFERENCE




Dr. Kevin A. Pollock, president of St. Clair County Community College, provided the opening keynote address at a recent national conference, in Chicago, about working with college transfer students. Pollock presented "Our Changing and Challenging Role on the Road to Student Success" at the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers 2012 Transfer Conference. His presentation focused on the changing times in education, along with recent federal and state education initiatives, and how they affect the jobs and roles of student support services personnel. Nationally recognized as a public speaker, he has presented at conferences and colleges, including the ACT Enrollment Planners Conference, American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers Strategic Enrollment Management Conference, League for Innovation in the Community College, National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development and National Small College Enrollment Conference. His topics have included at-risk students, continuous quality improvement, mentoring, retention, strategic planning and student success.
