POWERBOAT RACES A SUCCESS

The St. Clair River was alive this weekend with big waves, big boats and big crowds as the second annual International Offshore Powerboat Race returned to the Cities of Port Huron and Sarnia.  Desmond Landing was renamed "Race Village" as events and activities for attendees included beer tents, food and retail vendors as well as scoping out the colorful powerboats in the dry pit area.  Camping was a theme for the weekend as the Blue Water Area Convention and Visitors Bureau brought back Camp Margaretville providing racing fans with a prime viewing spot for all of the action by offering campers, RVs and trailers riverfront parking for the weekend.
